What is Buckwheat? Buckwheat (Fagopyrum esculentum) is a pseudocereal also called buckwheat. It originated in Central Asia.

. Like other pseudocereals such as quinoa or amaranth, buckwheat contains a high quality protein as it contains all the essential amino acids without being deficient in lysine or methionine.

. This way of consuming buckwheat grains is very crunchy, perfect for adding to yoghurts, salads or raw cake and biscuit batters. They are also perfect for including in sandwiches or accompanying cereal dishes and also for making unleavened bread.
