DESCRIPTION

Indoor plant native to the tropical areas of America, with shiny leaves and a very expressive flower that makes this climbing or creeping, herbaceous and perennial variety a specimen of unparalleled beauty to decorate any room.

Scientific name: Anthurium spp.

Curiosities: Its exotic beauty, heart shape and the colour of its bracts are associated with fertility and love. In addition, it is also considered one of the air-purifying plants.

CARE

Temperature: It grows well in an environment between 18°C and 25°C. At lower temperatures, the growth of its plants will be slower.

Light: It needs to be placed in a well-lit area, but never in direct sunlight.

Watering: The substrate must always be kept moist, without water stagnating, as it does not tolerate waterlogging. Water frequently in summer, and moderate watering in winter. Ambient humidity is key to its development.

Fertiliser: Use specific fertilisers for flowering plants from spring to autumn.

Transplanting: Approximately every two years. The use of well aerated and well drained substrates for green and flowering plants is recommended.
