Benefits of citric acid as a rinse aid:

    • Eliminates hard water residues: If you have hard water, you will notice that dishes may come out of the dishwasher with water spots or white residues. Citric acid neutralises these minerals and helps to remove them.
    • Natural rinse aid:Leaves dishes, glasses and cutlery with a shiny finish without the need for harsh chemicals.
    • Dishwasher descaling: As well as improving the shine of your dishes, regular use of citric acid helps to keep your dishwasher clean by preventing the build-up of limescale and mineral deposits inside the machine.
    • Environmentally friendly product:Unlike commercial rinse aids which may contain more aggressive chemicals, citric acid is biodegradable and non-toxic.

How to use citric acid as an anti-limescale for washing machine:

Use Planet Orchard Citric Acid (approximately 100-200 grams, depending on the level of limescale build-up).

    Instructions:

      Instructions:

      • Add citric acid:Place 100-200 grams of citric acid in the empty drum of the washing machine. The amount depends on the severity of the limescale build-up; if it is the first time you descale the washing machine, use the larger amount.
      • Add citric acid:
      • Add citric acid to the empty drum of the washing machine.
      • Wash cycle: Select a long wash cycle with hot water (60-90°C). This cycle will help dissolve and remove mineral deposits inside the washer. Do not add laundry during this cleaning cycle.
      • Repeat if necessary: If your washing machine has not been descaled for a long time and you still notice limescale build-up, you can repeat the process one more time.
      • Regular maintenance: To prevent future limescale build-up, a citric acid cleaning is recommended every 1 to 3 months, depending on the hardness of the water in your area.

Benefits of using citric acid as a limescale remover in the washing machine:

      • Eliminates limescale and mineral deposits: Citric acid dissolves calcium and magnesium deposits, preventing problems such as blocked pipes and malfunctioning of the water heater.
      • Maintaining performance: By keeping the washing machine free of limescale, efficient operation is ensured, which can reduce energy consumption and extend the life of the appliance.

      • Environmentally friendly solution: Unlike commercial descalers which may contain harsh chemicals, citric acid is biodegradable and non-toxic, making it a more environmentally friendly option.
      • Neutralises odours: In addition to descaling, citric acid helps to eliminate odours caused by the build-up of detergent residue and dirt on the internal parts of the washing machine.
