Pilosocereus pachycladus | Blue cactus, cactus azureus height 40-50 cm

The Pilosocereus pachycladus is a rare cactaceous plant, it is highly prized in decoration for its exotic columnar format and exuberant colour. It is also called columnar cactus, blue cactus, cactus azureus, cord cactus. Its colour becomes more bluish as the plant ages, the young shoots will have a colour ranging from green to bluish.

Care

• Light:requires a lot of natural light, can be in full sun.
• Location: preferably outdoors. It can be indoors, but should be in an area where it receives direct sunlight, such as a window, railing or balcony with plenty of natural light.
• Temperature: 10-35 ºC
• Watering: Moderate, approximately once every 10 days in summer and reduce to once a month in winter (depending on the substrate drying out between waterings).
• Manure: Apply special fertiliser for cacti and succulents in spring, summer and autumn. Dosage according to product indications.
